Main Purpose of the Machine Program:

At the level of technician, it is able to use computer-aided design, machining and chisel-free manufacturing methods with the knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic, engineering, etc. which can use any kind of machining machine and can produce and install the machine parts and train the specialist “Machine Technician” who can read and draw technical drawings. Academic staff and physical sub-construction are prepared in this direction.

 

Main Objective of the Machine Program:

Students studying at the Gedik University Vocational School Program aim not only to have knowledge and skills in machine technology, but also to master the basic manufacturing and design issues and to educate the profession in a completely conceptual way not only in terms of application but also in terms of knowledge.

Having the knowledge and experience to be able to take part in technical, administrative and R & D studies at the national and international level by giving associate degree education and training, having enthusiastic learning habits, entrepreneurial, prone to team work, solution producing, researching, Is to train “Machine Technicians” who are open to developments, are sensitive to environmental and cultural values, are beneficial to the country and humanity, are scientific researchers who produce scientific research for increasing the quality of life of society and have universal thinking ability.

 

After graduation;

Design and project a system as a machine technician and draw in a computer environment.

Design a mold of a piece.

Choose the most appropriate material and tool for the part, plan the operation and process parts on a machine tool in the most economical conditions with a suitable machining method.

Prepares and processes part programs for CNC machines.

Can make dimensional and angular measurements, can design tolerance and scale.

Performs destructive and non-destructive mechanical tests on materials.

Mechanical systems can be controlled by hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Team work and responsibility can be assumed.

Can communicate with staff at different levels of business and use written and verbal communication techniques.

A Machinery Technician can be employed in any public / private sector in which all kinds of churn / chisel production and technical service activities are carried out.

Machine manufacturing industry is like all over the world, and industrialization of our country is the driving force of industrialization and will be the foundation stone of our country development in the future. The Turkish machinery industry has shown an annual growth rate of about 20% since 1990.

As in many countries, the vast majority of machine builders in Turkey are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which provide a more flexible and responsive response to changing economic conditions and technological developments.

The low labor cost advantage and the advanced engineering skills of the SMEs operating in the sector are the factors that increase machine manufacturers’ competitiveness in international markets. In the Turkish Machine Manufacturing Industry, all kinds of parts and equipments are manufactured at high quality and competitive prices. The domestic input ratio in the production process is around 80-85%. A Machine Technician can be employed in any public / private sector in which all kinds of machining and non-machining production and technical service activities are carried out.
