Nationality Requirements

Students holding citizenship except for the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus may apply as international students for postgraduate programs.

Academic Requirements

International students with a 4-year bachelor's degree (or equivalent bachelor's degrees) from a Turkish Council of Higher Education-recognized university can apply for a graduate program at the Istanbul Gedik University. For PhD applications, students are also required a master's degree.

May require other documents and/or exam results depending on the program of application. In this case, the international office may contact you to ask for other documents.

IMPORTANT:Students with non-related degrees must take scientific preparation if accepted into the program.

Language Requirements

Students are required to have valid English Proficiency. Students have to take minimum scores in the proficiency test of Istanbul Gedik University or one of the international exams recognized by the Senate.

Students who are admitted to a program offered in Turkish have to certify their Turkish Proficiency. For this;

Graduate students must have a B2 level Turkish proficiency certificate from a TÖMER or Higher Education Council-recognized exam center, except for law graduates who require a C1 level.

Students without a recognized international exam result can take the English or Turkish proficiency test offered by Istanbul Gedik University. The university reserves the right to require a proficiency test if the authenticity of the exam result cannot be confirmed.

How to Apply (Step by step and Required Documents)

Nationality Requirements

All applications are made via the online application system on here.

• You must upload the required documents following:
• 1. Passport and its notarized Turkish translation
• 2. The documents show your qualification (Degree diplomas etc. It must be English or Turkish. If is not, must be translated.)
• 3. Official Transcript (It must be English or Turkish. If is not, must be translated.)
• 4. English or Turkish proficiency test results if it is available.

After You Apply:

When you click the SUBMIT button, the International Office will receive your application for assessment:

• • If you have missing documents, International Office will inform you by e-mail. Your application will not be assessed until you provide the missing documents.
• •The Assessment Commission will review your complete application and send an invitation letter or rejection.

You will be informed by e-mail. Please check your E-mail regularly

If you are accepted;

• • A pre-payment of tuition fee is required, details of which will be included in the invitation letter.
• • As soon as we receive your pre-payment, you will be sent an official Acceptance Letter.
• • Upon receiving acceptance, students must apply for a student visa promptly. Contact the consulate promptly to avoid delays.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the pre-payment is non-refundable except in case of visa refusal by the Turkish Embassy or Consulate in your area.

Registration

Upon completing all steps and receiving acceptance, deliver the following required documents to the Registrar's Office:

• For Master's Program Registration:
• 1. Passport and its notarized Turkish translation
• 2. Official document shows your qualification (Bachelor's Degree diplomas etc.) and its notarized Turkish translation.
• 3. Official Transcript and its notarized Turkish translation.
• 4. English or Turkish proficiency test results if available.
• 5. Student Visa or a copy of the residence permit page (must clearly show the identity and residence period)
• 6. 1 pc photo
• 7. Official Offer and Acceptance Letters

• For PhD Program Registration:
• 1. Passport (personal information page) copy
• 2. Official document shows your qualification (Bachelor's Degree diplomas etc.) and its notarized Turkish translation.
• 3. Official Transcript and its notarized Turkish translation.
• 4. English proficiency test results (Only recognized tests)
• 5. Turkish Proficiency Score, if available
• 6. Student Visa or a copy of the residence permit page (must clearly show the identity and residence period)
• 7. 1 pc photo
• 8. Official Offer and Acceptance Letters
