Entry Requirements

Nationality Requirements

Students holding citizenship except for the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus may apply as international students for postgraduate programs.

Academic Requirements

International students with a 4-year bachelor's degree (or equivalent bachelor's degrees) from a Turkish Council of Higher Education-recognized university can apply for a graduate program at the Istanbul Gedik University. For PhD applications, students are also required a master's degree.

May require other documents and/or exam results depending on the program of application. In this case, the international office may contact you to ask for other documents.

IMPORTANT:Students with non-related degrees must take scientific preparation if accepted into the program.

Language Requirements

Students are required to have valid English Proficiency. Students have to take minimum scores in the proficiency test of Istanbul Gedik University or one of the international exams recognized by the Senate.

Below mentioned certificates/scores are acceptable;
YDS/YÖKDİL Minimum 55
TOEFL IBT 66
Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) Minimum. C
Cambridge Proficiency Examination (CPE) Minimum C
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Minimum 50
İstanbul Gedik University Proficiency Test Minimum 60

Students who are admitted to a program offered in Turkish have to certify their Turkish Proficiency. For this;

Graduate students must have a B2 level Turkish proficiency certificate from a TÖMER or Higher Education Council-recognized exam center, except for law graduates who require a C1 level.

Students without a recognized international exam result can take the English or Turkish proficiency test offered by Istanbul Gedik University. The university reserves the right to require a proficiency test if the authenticity of the exam result cannot be confirmed.
