In this period when young people dream of opening cafes or restaurants, cookery can only be done by studying in this field. As a country’s most important cultural indicator, culinary culture is not just about cooking good food. As an area that needs to be developed and managed, the need for qualified personnel that can compete internationally, equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills, is increasing day by day.
Purpose and objective of cookery program; has the necessary professional knowledge and skills in the field of food and beverage culture with a deep-rooted tradition, which can combine innovative culinary trends of the day, productive, dynamic, open to developments, from the most basic to the most advanced level of food and beverage culture and business terminology to reflect all the subtleties of cooking techniques The aim of the course is to train qualified professionals, executive chefs who can be employed in every branch of the food and beverage sector.
Istanbul Gedik University Banking and Insurance Program started education in 2011-2012 academic year. The training language of the program is Turkish. Students who complete 120 ECTS compulsory and elective courses for 4 semesters and completed their internships covering 30 business days are graduated.
The first year of the Banking and Insurance program is designed to introduce students to the basic financial and economic concepts, and to provide them with complementary information that will benefit them in business life. In the second year, it is devoted to the specialization courses of our students. The course focuses on banking in fall and banking in spring.
Our foreign trade associate degree program, which education language is English, has a curriculum that includes compulsory and elective courses of 120 ECTS in total for four semesters. Our students who successfully complete the compulsory summer internship 20 working days together with these related courses ,graduate with the title of foreign trade profession.
In line with the importance of the foreign trade sector in GDP today, our graduates have a wide variety of job opportunities both in private and in public sectors. In addition, since foreign trade graduates are given the right to become a customs broker assistant by taking the exam without completing a related undergraduate program, our curriculum has been prepared for the customs counselling exam held by the Ministry of Commerce with the compulsory and elective courses it contains. If they wish, our graduates who wish to continue their academic life can take the Higher Education Exam (DGS) and switch to the relevant bachelor’s departments.
The creativity that can solve the problems that interest the graphic design of the program in a short time is to train the designers in the upper level. Students studying in the program attend education and training in order to gain practical experience in all kinds of issues related to visual communication design. Students who have general culture in the direction of education, both theoretical and practical, and who will learn to use their personal abilities at the top level will gain the knowledge and skills to evaluate themselves. Students who are “designer” candidates will have all the basic qualities of computer equipment. The main design programs are Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash, In Design.
Our graduate students can have job opportunities in many different professions with their “designer” identities. These sectors have a wide range of magazines such as magazines, newspapers, television channels, publishing houses, printing houses, advertising agencies, photo agencies, graphic design teachers, graphic departments of all kinds of corporate companies.

It is aimed to train ‘Relations and Promotion Staff ‘who can use and evaluate the communication channels together with creative tools, whether or not for profit or not by using modern management techniques in any local or international service and production sector, who are able to provide professional services in the fields which enterprises need such as ‘creating image, advertising and publicity, continuous communication’.
This department educates professionals who have the ability to comprehend the accounting functions in businesses, ensure the healthy and reliable operation of accounting processes, understand the accounting and tax applications, needs and innovations in the business life, and have the ability to think, enterprising and analytical. It is aimed to raise the quality values of the accountancy profession by raising qualified manpower trained in the field of accounting and to meet the need of the profession in this field.
